It was all metal so it was well slippy. I couldnt really get along with the slippyness but it didnt seem to hold anyone else back!

One of the first videos I ever watched - Sleazy Rider.  That and Tense Nervous Headache.  I remember watching those vids, going to Leigh on Sea full of big ideas and coming home again with my tail between my legs......  :(

That was my local park, just a 15min ride away......or as i used save my energy for the ramps.....5 min in the car! ;D

I am pretty sure i was there that day, was that a comp Alex? And did it have anything to do with Steve Jackson (i think that was his name)?

Had so many good days down there, and lots of bruises from tryin to 360 the feckin spine!!! Loved the small HP all day long. Sadly missed now that im ridin again. :'(

Sean.

I think there are a few sessions on that vid. One was def the comp that Steve Jackson and Tim Ruck organised. There is also footage from a session after the Backyard Jam in 93, we all drove straight from Hastings to Leigh on Sea. There is more footage on the Backyard Video from that year. Then the Joe Rich stuff must have been from another time, cos he wasnt at either of those to events. He was over for KOC in (in 93 I think). Grant? Help me out here?

you're right Alex,

there's footage from 3 seperate sessions there like you said. The Joe Rich part was after KOC 93

Was that before everyone came to ride the Oxford ramps? I dont think Joe rode at Oxford cos he had hurt his ankle. I was a bit gutted, but watching Kirt was still great.

Yep fat ankle for Joe that day, stuck on the deck all day which was a pity as it was one of those class sessions where everyone was so chilled and having a great time buzzing off each other. Lasted a full afternoon and some........  :daumenhoch:

Joe was saving himself cos it was the big Hoffman comp in OC a week or 2 later. That was the one when things really blew up for Joe and he got the cover of US Ride. I think there were loads of Brits at that comp too.

I remember it well, Krt Schmidt trying to barspin the spine and Scott Timmins doing it in a pair of desert boots

That vid is great. Krt rules, Yoda rules.
I see that I've been riding with an S&M frame pad for many years now!

Ha ha, "with AN S&M pad", not the same one! Check it out, my first S&M frame from 1991 still has the same pad on it!
