New School in Old School * Special Project*
« on: April 30, 2007, 10:20 AM »
Right Dave Glendower (Xtremepervert) got a bit of flack for racing his new school bike in old school. I guess nobody minds mid school too much but new school is definetely frowned upon.

As most of you know I bought a Haro Group 1 RS2 frame and forks yesterday. I have most of the things already to build it but being one of my bikes I want it to look the dogs too, so I'm after a few things to finish it off really nicely so he can race a good looing bike. Then I'll bring it to all the races so he can be legal in old school at last.

I'm after a set of Black Haro Pro Race bars and a set of Black Suzue Sealed hubs.

I'd really like to finish this bike off by the time of the next Hersden meeting on 13th May.

I'll get pics up as soon as it's finished.

I'm pretty sure there are some black Haro pro bars on Australian ebay at the moment. I have a chrome set here if desperate.

How much are you after for the chrome set. I could always get them powdered black.

I'll take a pic tomorrow (it's 9.40 pm) and post them up. They're pretty good condition.

Thanks for the offer Zipmeister, I couldn't even make 1/4's on a N/S, why all the fuss? A guy called Roy Coniff who lives near me still has a JMC somewhere. I've been meaning to go & have a look for ages, but now as the O/S is really taking off I'll go & see him this week if poss.

That's ok Dave, It motivates me to build it anyway and then at least it will get some use rather than spend it's life sat in a shed. I would imagine a JMC would be mega bucks anyway.

Only a couple of bits to go and it's done. I've had to cut a few corners as I don't have the time, or cash, do do it exactly as I'd like but it will look quite good I think.

Pics to follow next week. :daumenhoch:
