Frame id ???????
« on: March 30, 2007, 03:59 PM »
I picked up this, whatever it is the other day. It was described as a Puch, once home my mate said that it was too good to be a puch as these were cheap kids bikes and mine looked alot better. So ive had a look about but cant id it, I thought it was a Aero Pro burner but the tubes from the bottom bracket to the rear wheel are a different shape, the drop outs look similar to a Kuwie but its not one of them ::) Im thinking its maybe just a Tange frame the two main tubes are Aero also I dont thin k the forks match the frame the welds arnt as good. So anyone confirm what this is ?????

sorry but it aint a tange mate, them dropouts are way too stubby, tange dropouts are more elongated and the serial would begin with a T.
looks nice though. them dropouts and welding look a lot like the foxbat freestyle frame i have that andy funmonster has, they are cro-mo, tig welded, taiwaneese frameset. Good, but not idolised like hutch/SE/skyway, etc,etc..........

Cheers chaps, as for the brake bridge it is a tube with a hole for the brake, but where the hole is there there is an extrs sort of lump sort of extrs strength, I will get a pic later

More info but it might not mean a thing, there is a headtube sticker saying stormer bmx. I ignored this thinking it was aftermarket, ive been looking and there is a Stormer its a CYC Stormer. I can only find early bikes though late 70's.

It looks a lot like my sons 16" bike. The forks look like ARX forks so the frame could be anything.

Generic Akisu frame - could have been stickered up as about 50 bikes...

Take the forks off and look at the steerer tube as it may be stamped on there.
