I am about to embark on building a bike with a euro bb, my donor has a us running profiles, I have looked and the euro bb's start at about £20, do I have to get a profile one or will the oddy or the S&M one be as good or is there one you would recommend ?(have you got one spare )  Also is the euro kit all I need to get cracking are there other bits required?

Help always appreciated  :daumenhoch:

any euro bb to suit a 19mm spindle should be fine, 94.

(so long as you're running the regular profile racing cranks and not the ss cranks.)

sorry tho, only got a 22mm set here. :(

LOL, oh yeah I remember now! ;) You well?

The basic diff between the two different sets is the size of the arms and the spindle (all extra beefy on the SS - 22.2mm spindle)

can you give me the number on the rubber seal on ur US bearings and I could tell you the bearing size and therefore your spindle size?

Or if you've got a spare brake lever there that isn't hinged, slip it over the spindle. It'll be real loose on a 19mm one, or a pretty close fit on a SS one.
