Great to meet up with Tony Slater today, first time in 24 years, still bloody quick and snatched a crowser win. Off to Heresden next week, I cant wait

I didnt try to keep it quiet. I was pleased that I got to use #36 on my plate cos thats how old I was yesterday!

The last time I went racing on my birthday was on my 12th in Bath. It rained all day and my blue burner goggles didnt help me see through the mud at all! (I was at the back, in every race!).

It sure was a good warm up for August. I was only going to come for maybe one of the days in August but I have already started asking my wife if she can book the weekend off work so I can come for it all, maybe race a few of the classes.

btw, thanks for no one minding that I was riding an out and out 'mid school' bike. 21" top tube ... "U" brake (it did have a 1" shafted forks/stem). I did feel my bike was a little young, next the all the older bikes on the gate.
