HOW TO KEEP MY BIKES SAFE?
« on: April 22, 2007, 08:29 PM »
right ive got a bit of a dilemma. we are going to newquay next month
camping and we'll be taking an 82 quadangle and a 83 looptail ripper :smitten:
obviously there's well over a grands worth of bikes
the problem i have is it wont be feasible to take them everywhere with us :-\
any ideas how to keep them safe left in the tent
now it is a very modern tent with good locking doors but I'm really worried
about leaving them, although id hate to have to leave them at home :(
is there any good locking systems i could use?

The only thing you can do is to find something to lock them to, with a fecking good lock. You could get a BIG stake & drive it in the ground inside the tent, then lock them to that, but I think you may have to leave the stake there when you go  :(

safest , by the sounds of it would be chain them to your car , wheels or subframe somewhere

OR

ask the campsite if they have secure lock up and use that if you can

or chain them up wherever you go , pain but probably the safest

I would leave them at home, some right thieving scumbags hang out at run to the sun just to nick stuff, me and my mate both had our buses broken into at watergate bay a few years ago. >:(. not been back since.
