hub and spoke compatability
« on: April 18, 2007, 12:27 PM »
I have a pair of 7b's that I have just stripped and the hubs are trash as are most of the 105g spokes.

Assuming that I should not rebuild the wheels using 14g spokes and nipples, can someone tell me what type of hubs I should be on the look out for that will accept the lareger gauge spoke and also any idea where I can source new spokes???

Thanks

Paul

mmmmmmmmm good question, if you get the bigger guage spokes you could always drill out the spoke holes in the hub. :)

I wouldn't want to do that, as it likely would affect the structural integrity of them.

There are hubs for that size spokes I just a sterr on what ones or alternatively if it is safe to re-lace the wheels using the 14g spokes.
