It may just be me but i have never seen a GT with that plate bit behind the seat tube before $:-\$ thus making me think its a generic frame

and i'm not having a go at you or typing crap, just being honest, if your building it for a rider then its probably best not to have a real one as their collectors bikes,

do it up like daves with decals and that and trash the pants of it, cause i wouldn't dare do it to mine as it's an 84

Agreed. You have a generic frame that needs something done to it, although I like the colour. You also have low-end mag wheels by the looks of them. So as the bike stands at the moment, it's really not worth much. Seriously.

Depending on what you put on it, it may be worth more. If you just put more generic bits on it to finish it, then it's not going to be worth much. You're better off keeping it as a rider, as has been said above. if you are biulding it to sell it to make a profit, I think you will find you are out of pocket on this.
