Whats the deal then fellas with these slick brake cables, they have pre-stretched inner wire's
Does this mean you can free spin the bar's ala gryo?

Also (no laughing at the back) can you put a standard rear chain sprocket on a coaster skyway?

cables:

any front brake cable will work fine with a gyro

for the rears, it's a case of setting up the brake right-

1) get the right length cables on the upper part. use dragonfly gemini upper cable.
2) get the straddle as far from the brake as possible, without being daft.
3) don't try and run a gyro with cantis

a gyro'd rear brake has protential to work better than a straight cable

as for the skyway, i think you need a particular type of sprocket, depending on the hub

Thanks for your help mate. I've seen the gemini upper cables, not sure if they are long enough for old school though?

Basically I have a Haro master (see MY FIRST BUILD, posted last week) with Haro bars. I wanted to run it with blue cables, and use a rear gryo. But the only upper cables I can find our odyssey and 390mm length. This is to short for old school bars.

The other thing is gemini's don't come in blue (I think) Could go for black cables throughout, problem solved except it'll look plop with black on my build.

if you have old school yeehah bars then the regular length upper gyro/oryg cable should suit.

they come in a few lengths!! or an old one. they were always traditionally too long

Yeah, the mid length gryo cables would be fine, but typically they don't make those in blue anymore!
