Ok, here's a pic of my first bike in over twenty years.

Big thanks to Daz BMX for selling it to me. It only took me twenty minutes to put the thing together as Daz did most of it before he shipped it over to me.

Got to put some red grips, seat, seatclamp and pedals on it though and I will be happy.

This is going to be a rider, by the way.

good solid bike for a rider, and as above about seat post, if its gonna be a rider, try n get a used GT layback and take about 1" off the top of it, you'l still have plenty of room to ride and you wont bend it, avoid oddysey laybacks, as much use as a chocolate firegaurd.

Thanks for the input.  :)

I've got a Renthal seatpost I could use. Once I get all the other parts and find my decent camera, I'll take a better pic of the bike.  :daumenhoch:

Cheers

cracking looking build there mate! i'd go along with the layback thingy........i use one of the ELF type laybacks in mt beat, they look like a straight post but have all the benefits of a layback  :daumenhoch:

nice bike mate
should ride well

ditch the layback though
if it's a weak one, it will snap mid session
if it's a strong one, it will crack the frame. layback seatposts murder old school frames

unless you only weigh nine stone.

Updated pics of the Aero

I changed the seatpost for a different one. All i had though, unfortunately.  :-\

I also removed the black parts and replaced them with red components where I could.

Hope you like.

Damn you're right about it bein addictive. I wish you weren't though.  ;D

This month so far, i've bought:

Aero Reflex
Streetbeat f&f - in another thread called 'Second Project - Skyway Streetbeat' in the Tech and Restoration section
Haro master f&f - in the same thread as above but further down
GT Pro Performer f&f - On its way from the USA
Haro gen 1 f&f - being rechromed

*cries*

The haro gen 1 should be the next one to be up and running though. I'm hoping it will be sorted by the end of this week at the latest. REALLY looking forward to putting this one together, I have to say.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. It;s good to know that my ideas aren't that far off the mark!  :2funny:

Cheers
