Mid School Race Tyres?
« on: March 24, 2007, 06:10 PM »
Need some input on what race tyres were available around 96-97?

Would it have been all black tyres or would amber skinwalls have been available still?

cheers

Marty  :daumenhoch:

My top tip would be to get some Ritchey Z Max megabite tyres - they are nearly exactly the same as GT megabites - the ritcheys were aslo available around 97, they are all black, and have a good chunky traed. Check ebay, they often crop up, or try cyclesport - they had some a while back. Good luck!
PS - i had a pair of ritcheys but sold em to wolfy a while back for his Auburn build - they are awsome tyres!

Cheers Steve, I've got some all black Comp 3 copies that I put on my wheels for the Flash to see what they looked like before spending on some real Comp 3's or Factory MX's but don't really like them as they look too bland  :(.  So I'm thinking what else would be period correct but with an amber wall  :daumenhoch:
