just purchased some old Araya 1.75 rims in Chrome OS to lace with my orig GT hubs and to go on my GT but the Chrome is peeling how do you get it off and suggestions on coats and finishes and estimated costs please !!

Oh they are OK ISH but like all of us I want them to be perfect ! isit worth the hassel and costs or do I lace em as is ??

Best to take them to chromers for them to chemically remove the chrome - you night be able to get them to redo them or just highly polish them for you too :daumenhoch:

Sounds a better option and means they will not have to suffer the same expereince and when they are polished correctly they look j as good any other thoughts !!

Yep, alloy can be a right pain in the rear to chrome - I'd get them de-chromed then and polish them instead  :daumenhoch:

its the same with new wheels the chrome peels,they look nice new ,but tatty as they age  :'(

sure thing chaps I know the chromw wears but being an OS chrome aholic you just cant help your self can we !!! :LolLolLolLol:

Still doing it on the NS ride !!!

does anyone know anyone yocal to Beds that does it ? (clean and polish the Wheels) surely PK Rad must no someone ???
