I was 13 I think, maybe 14 it just seems so long ago!

I'm trying to get my 6yo son onto a BMX but although he likes the look of them he's not that interested at the moment in BMX but loves to ride his bike (Trek 16" Jet) he needs to get off the stabilisers this year.  I think it will take time, my 12yo daughter loves her MTB and wants to ride my BMX's but it too scared she will fall off  ::).  Confidence, time and patience - kids work at their own pace; I know I used to  :LolLolLolLol:

Still, can;t wait for him to get on one so I can try and teach him some tricks, Beth can already jump off tree roots and stuff on her MTB  :daumenhoch:

this pic is the earliest i can remember which is around 1978, i was 13. i never raced this bike but had lots of fun on it.

this quicksilver was my first REAL race bike which was an Aussie knock off of the super popular mongoose of the day. i'd say about 1979 when i was 14 for this one

this pic shows the same quicky frame but with a new paint job, just before i sold it and got my redline PL-20
