Nooo, I like this thread! No harm done yet?

I just read the first post again. There are loads of radbmx members in that list of names (some of them listed twice?). Its a cool spread of names from many years, made good reading.

I loved the line "Have you heard about those new stems you can get ?". Thats funny. You really cant argue about new bikes being better than old ones, if you are building them to ride at a high level (not everyone is).

Im not really with you on your fixation on how GOOD people are. I didnt think that mattered. In the 90s, the fact that you rode at all was good, no mater what tricks you could do.

Come on, who are you? Team Sano are a long way North (well, maybe their not far from you?).

so let me sumarise

progression is good

but what came before is rubbish even though that was progression from what was previous

its an oxymoron and therfore you are talking rubbish and cant see the howling error your life is based upon

re think yourself before its too late , it will set you free

I loved the line "Have you heard about those new stems you can get ?".

patronising.

for the record, i have. sorry, i wasn't at the factory where they were first made though.
and i rode in the 80's, the 90's and the 00's.  i have been riding for 18 of the last 24 years. in the 80's i rode long after everyone i knew gave up. in the 90's i was riding rewelded shit bikes. i was riding when it was cool to have 4 pegs and a gyro, and when it wasn't cool to have 4 pegs and gyro. when wide bars were in, then out, and now in again. when bikes were bright colours, then dark colours. when pegs were invented. when the potts mod was invented. when raleigh made bikes called "juicer" and "ferret". when ryan nyquist was uncool as he had "sold out". i was riding when "bmx grind" came out, and subsequently disappeared. bmx has changed a lot during these times, but some things remain the same.
