In 84 they were about £170,  a firebird freestyler was £70 and a Quad in black was £180. For some reason a blue Quad was a bit cheaper. Haro's and Skyways were a bit cheaper than the Ripper but only by a few quid.
As far as I know the Ripper was only made of Aluminium, Landing Gear forks were Chrome Moly though.

Found one advertised in September 85 for £239 a white TA was £150. Good this, gives me another excuse to look through the magazine colection  ;)
