No one is disputing that the Ripper is an awesome bike and an Icon in their own right. But, the Tuff Burner was the first BMX I ever saw and it blew my socks off. Compared to all the other dross bikes that were around at the time, this was the dawning of a new era. That is why IMO it is THE most iconic BMX. Whatever came after it is irrelevant. I know the Ripper had been in production since the late 70s compared to the early 80s for the Burner, but they hadn't really hit our shores or got any notoriety until the craze really took off and the Burner is one of the bikes that helped the craze take off. So the Ripper should thank the Burner for that!
ok lucy 'just for you
where's all the action pics of the iconic burner?
Zed, the only problem is that Buff didn't ride a stock Ripper at all, it was a specially made one with thicker tubes, etc. It just looked like a Ripper
