Torker EK
« on: April 02, 2007, 10:08 PM »
Been meaning to do this for a while but some parts are hard to find when you are a bottom feeder:

Torker EK Frame & Fork
Torker Stem
Phil Wood Hubs
Home made "Haro" plate

Asahi Spokes
Araya 7B Rims

Tange Headset
Redline Microline Bars
Shimano brakeset
Grab-on Grips

Addicks seatclamp
Alloy Fluted Post
Unicanator Saddle

Sugino chainwheel with Suntour chainwheel bolts
Sediscolor chain
Suntour freewheel
Reedy Pedals
Matthauser Shoes
Torker pads
Phil Wood #6 Bottom Bracket
16 1-3/8 tubes
Cheng Shin 1.75 Front
Comp II rear

In time for the Phoenix get-together too.  Eddie on board with a few friends..:)

and a bonus.  I hadn't seen Estellita (Eddie's mom)  in years but once I spotted her, I got her to pose with the bike too.

Man, that's awesome! Is that a repro plate?

I had a choice back in the day between a chrome, gold and black Torker or a white, red and black Kuwahara KZ1 with graphite z's. I picked the Kuwahara but always wondered if I'd made the right choice. I'm still not sure!

Lovely looking ride! :smitten:

Too funny.

That would be Greg Hill, David Clinton, Cash Matthews, Eddie King, Mike Aguilera, and Pete Sanchez.

Euro BB, yah, pretty common back then already

WoW Reiley

 :4_17_5:

I have been away for a while, have come back and as usual - your build truly amazes me.

The bike and quality is perfect as always, two comments though - any reason why you have you not put the 1$ on the plate, and did the rear cable go through the right hand side hole in the gusset and out of the left then under the pad?

Total quality again.........have you ever thought about setting up a museum to show off your unique collection of BMX history.

Lastly, great bike stand - is the square tubing padded so that it does not scratch the crank? Great design.
