well i bought a "big tub" from b and q (seriously, it was called a big tub - 6.50)

then went to tesco and bought 8 bottles of value bleach.

left my zytecs in there for 6 days, and it worked a little. not much though.

to really white them, i would need thick bleach. the tesco cheap stuff was 28 per 2 litre bottle.
the domestos was over 2 quid.

the zytecs arent worth 20 quids worth of bleach

so there you go - i recommend big tub and big dom (big bad dom)

poor zytecs, i just spent 12 quid on a freewheel for em, and 20 quid on sealed bearings.

i feel i have done my part to keep the legend alive....

BTW bearings for zytecs are 10mm ID by 30mm OD by 9mm, bearings are the same as mini moto bearings.

my nos zytecs only cost 20 quid!!!

with nice new bearings. and a nice yellowy finish.

zytecs were never bright white, even bitd. they were always a cream colour.

yeh when i took the hubs off mine, i noticed the edges are really rough on the plastic.

sand em up a bit if they are too bad though.

holy rollers with the sealed bearings, is the best thing about them. and you are light enough to use them ok, then they are good wheels. good as tuffs IMO. (at my skill level when i rode them full time)
