The metal cups on an unsealed usa BB is it a case of hitting the cups out of the frame or do they stay in?

and if you remove the cups when installing a new sealed BB do they have a lip on to stop them going too far into the frame?

basically i'm after advice on removing and fitting usa BB"s

the only BB's i've removed were on a MTB euro ones and they screwed in.

cheers.priv

hit them out

the lip stops em going in too far

you can fanny around with clamps n shite but a block of wood and a hammer is fine for hitting in unsealed bearing cups

Bang the cups out mate, they are tight but push fit. The new cups will go straight in the hole, may need some help with a rubber faced hammer if they are tight :daumenhoch:
