2 x s&m stickers. I reckon they would be s&m, but not sure.  they are 62cm across and 23cm high but they look chopped on the ends.

anybody recognise them?

i always thought the s & m sticker was placed on the inside of the bars facing the rider.
could be wrong.
both sets i've had have been like that.

They're not Gay Bars i've got some of those on my cruiser. I seriously doubt they are S&M at all, the knurling is all wrong and the welding looks bad. I say copies.

Ive got some gay bars from mid 90s but also earlier ones on the way. I will let you know how they look, and if they are the same as eachother when the new ones get here.

some butcher has chopped a good bit of width off. and not very tidy either. I can't see them being fake anythings. The bike they came on had first gen LG's a black pro neck, and chrome 7x's. I think the knurling will help identify them. the straight line knurling should give it away to somebody. As for the welding, they are very niceley welded. Don't know where you are looking, but these are tidy welds. These are meaningless to me, but i do have a bike to put them on and would appreciate an accurate ID if at all possible.

blue oyster :LolLolLolLol:
first thing that springs to mind is tackelberry and then i have to ask has anybody seen steve radhab lately? is he still alive and well?

Yes, I thought my gaybars were smaller than that, more of a cruiser bar. They also do Smal slams, and used to do Lum-bars (Shaun Butlers bars) and Medium bars so it could be one of them. I will try and measure some lum-bars that Ive got at home.

dive bar, gay bar, slam bar.  :LolLolLolLol: nice names. what else is there.
1999, the guy must have replced the originals then. I wonder what was on it? The bike was a sjappie frame(made by a very small dutch company what made custom frames for lanky dutch people)  1st gen LG's with thin dropouts, them bars, black pro neck stem, ad990, takagi one piece, with a profile ripsaw chainring(early type) chrome araya 7x's on chrome seales suzue hubs, gt freestyle tyres. The guy had 2 of them, the first generation frame had thinner dropouts and the second gen had thicker dropouts. The wheels were knackerd, so i took the full bike minus wheels. these are the pics from the original ad. It's a nice frame and light. i am gonna build it back up with these bars, and some other odds and sods. just need some good rims.

It's got free Ride mag stickers all over it (including the S&M ones) as i recall (may be wrong!) S&M stickers were cut outs and did not have a clear background whereas the free ones did. I don't think they are S&M bars they may be Redline or Diamondback or some such from the mid 90's.

could be, i only bought it for the pro neck and lg's TBH. I don't collect anything after 85/86. But it will serve well as a rider.

Well spotted. I think most S&M shield stickers were pre cutout and not on clear backgrounds.

they are quality bars still though. that thin walled cro mo is not run of the mill. Shame , still non the wiser. I took off one decal to see if there was a shadow under it, and it looks like there was a round decal once. size of a cw decal(ish). does that help?
