My mate Phil's Haro Gen 1 Freestyler
« on: March 03, 2007, 05:22 PM »

Haro Freestyler Gen 1 frame and forks - original chrome - maybe original stickers! Serial: TNN2258F
Vector Bar - copies with repro stickers
Odyssey Hazard Lite rims with Nankai freecoaster (rear) and Fly Bikes hub (front)
KHE foldable tyres
Modern Profile race crank with Tree Sprocket (39/14)
Modern Shimano DX pedals
Shadow Lite slim seat + Haro seat post clamp
Red MX1000's with self centre mech + Tech 4 lever (front) - Oddysey M2 lever (rear) - soon to be replaced possibly with Tech 4
Odyssey GTX-R gyro system
Black Haro top tube pad
Black ODI longneck grips (cut short)
Soon to be Dia Tech wet and dry green brake blocks

Also saving for sealed Skyway Graphites with kool hub flanges or KHE flatland freecoaster hubs laced to Z-rims with titanium spokes. Not decided yet! Also Chris King headset to follow. :)

Thanks to Daz BMX for supplying the MX1000's. :D

Just found the serial listed in the Haro serial Registry. It was manufactured September 1983. :D

Finally, this is my mate Phil's rider so is actually out there on the streets getting used instead of sitting in the corner of a room.  :LolLolLolLol:  :daumenhoch:

Thanks for looking and enjoy. :)

Hi

That's come out very well and it's nice to see something different, hope the welds and gusset hold up though.

How long has Phil had it and is the bike in the UK or USA?

I have it on the list as in the US and owned by Ray?

Any info would be great, thanks.

J.

Thanks guys for all the positive comments. :) Keep them coming - he didn't know if you guys would like it or not because it's not 100% old school but I said that everyone loves a Gen 1 on here.  :LolLolLolLol: He thinks it is a nice blend of the old and new.  :smitten:

He's had it approx 2 weeks now after importing it from the USA.

A couple areas have been treated with a rust preventative to make sure it stays in A1 condition.

Looking forward to some better weather than we have had recently! :2gunsfiring_v1:

Nicest gen 1 build iv'e seen in a while. All the haro replicas were cool, but the truth is anyone can get a parts list and wait to find a part. But to build one the way you like it, and ride it, that makes a cool bike. No offense to haro rep. builders.
