THANKS to STODGY & QUADRAPHENIA
« on: March 03, 2007, 12:12 AM »
Just wanted to say thanks on behalf of My Godson to Pete and Dave for the parts they donated to build this Bike for my Godson (the kid who got me into all this at forty something).
He packed up riding to go play Golf but he has now rediscovered riding, he bought the Hoffman star series Flow of a mate I went to help him rebuild it but it soon became evident that it was a p.o.s.
All we could save was frame, forks, seat, stem and front wheel.

I got the frame and forks blasted and powdered locally for £30 not Dan quality but ok for a rider,we bought the headset a Diacomp tank for £10 off the bay and the chainring for £1.99! I had a Primo rod seat post and AD990 brake and tatty tech 77 lever. The pedals came from a dumped Diamondback from over the allotments,The odessey milkbars were bought for £15 off a local but had suffered a viscious cutting down so Andy Robinson welded an 1 1/2" on each side
After talking to the lads, Pete donated the rear wheel, crank, Dave donated the bottom bracket,Grips, chain and a set of his awesome stickers.
After a bit of TLC we came up with this.

Total cost about £80 and he is well into it He was airing the mini at epic on his first visit and nearly peg stalling (little git).

SO THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP GUYS :4_17_5:
