Do they make different lengths?

I have 2 pairs of Profile made GT 3pc cranks and the bearing spacer tube on both sets are too short?  ???

yup they do two lengths BUt are normally too short anyway  :uglystupid2:

some bb are narrower than others .so you will find they will be good on some frames and not others.

W@nker.

B/B's are different widths, so spindle tubes may need reducing to suit. Spindle washers may be required if tude is too short. Vernier calipers are useful to measure.

:wtf: you talking about? im trying to help , a pece of tube cut at a different length and same diameter will do the job, washers are only for the chainwheel end :idiot2: as for the spline that can be hacksawed too

Mark (LXIX)

I think what Dan-Dare and the others are saying is that it doesn't matter whether you use the tube on it's own or put a washer in there - the important thing is to ensure that the distance between the bearings has no gaps (otherwise the crank arms pinch on bearings and make them tight).

Having said that, if I can find a longer length of tube to cut down, I will  :daumenhoch:

Thanks gent's

Solving the problem is not an issue - I just wanted to know why I have two pairs with a tube that's too short?

Too long, that I can understand, but too short is just stoopid  :idiot2:

I've found the answer anyway  :daumenhoch:

AND I always find the drive side spacer too wide to get a good chainline so use the very thin washers that come with redline cranks, and I pop the bearing seals out and pack the bearings with good quality grease because Profile bearings come with virtually no grease in them  :uglystupid2:
