I got a letter from Kris Gack back in 1991 when he first started making hubs and he was using 1/2" axles to begin with according to his letter.
Later on he became in charge of production when hoffman started producing inhouse.

Me too  :daumenhoch:  Way better than any other thread this long at the moment  :LolLolLolLol:

You've got to love the Hoffman bikes, when I got my Flash and was waiting for it to arrive I was unsure (as you know Dan  ;)) of whether to keep it, I wanted a Condor or a Hutch then when I got it and took it out of the box WOW!  Quality welds, great chrome and a cracking looking bike.  These Condors are the same and it's great to read about the history of the bikes that Mark and Dave have now got.   The Rekka connection is awesome and really adds to the value of the bike, not financially but in terms of its heritage, just like the action shot of Mark's bike - shows they were riders, ridden well and used for what they were designed for  :daumenhoch:

Pete, were the fish and chips that good?

ye the 1990s bikes have a limited audience as not many rode back then
which makes it our job to help push it forward in the way it needs.

mark this kris gack i take it he carried on making or modifying products into the later 1990s
like the peregrines as ive a couple of sets of the phat jack 10/14 slotted vershions with big bearings
and much fatter spokes, they are that big they dont fit any other peregrine rim.so did
they /he get them specialy made or would you think peregrine made them for him.

I think so Dan - I believe he was with Hoffman until late 97/98...
