Harris is right I have just negotiated you a special price for the dropout repair .I managed to get it UP to £450.
Is not that the idea????
Must be my AGE eh? :tickedoff:

Note to self: must get Mark's mate to do the drop outs before taking the piss.

Dont worry Dave, I have got a man who can re-do your drop-outs if you want. I was only keeping quiet cos I didnt want to take Marks glory of fixing a Condor. My man will do a great job, wont charge much at all .... but it might take him a good few months to get round to doing it. And your condor will be at the back of the que behind 2 PKs, an 84 sport, a Gen 1 Haro, a Mk1 pro burner and a 91 dirtbike. Wow, thats quite some que!

No, just one. Can you guess which? ha ha. Yep, the dirtbike! Oh, hang on, the 84 sport is mine too. The PKs are "Vert Squerts" (He's riding one in the "Mons Jams" shots), the Gen1 belongs to the guy who does the work (Geoff) and the Pro burner is a mate of mines, but Im building it for him.

nice find mate, can't wait to see the complete bike built  :4_17_5:what parts are you going for ?

Pretty similar to Fuzzy Mark's bike as it's close to the original spec - with exception of a couple of bits to ring the changes from Marks...

ace find stodge, well pleased for you
it was dan that i got my hardest to find bike off!!!

as for the drops - they look like they are cut for gack hubs. super huge axles

but phil rekka used to make hubs too (aswell as other stuff). maybe they were cut for a rekka rear hub

all UK stuff. rekka used to ride at KOC and his bike had some high quality home made stuff

the gack hubs he made in the early nineties had super big axles.

these were the hubs that mongoose kinda copied

gsport hubs are the best though. 22mm axles. you wont bend them fookers. bolt in too with 14mm bolts

I believe it was Phil Rekka's bike - the chap we picked the frame up off said that the previous owner was phil someone (didn't catch the name at the time), and he made all his own parts because he just broke everything else...so, it's history is slowly coming together...I just tried phoning the seller, but there is no answer...

Dan has the wheels from the bike and Phil has the bars, cranks and pedals...

As much as you wanna pay dude and dependent on condition - they don't come up often...in fact this is only the second in 2 years that I know of. I really couldn't put a guide on them.

Sorry - not much help I know. But they are just not about, but if you really really want one then pay what you feel comfortable with.

UPDATE

Right, just spoke to the guy I got the frame off.

It was ridden and owned by a guy called Phil Evans from Hastings - he competed at a high amatuer level, everything from flatland to vert all on the Condor.

He was a machinist and engineer and definately made the hubs & headset on the bike...so is he the 'Phil' that ran Rekka? I don't know yet, he's going to find out for me.

He was well know in Hastings and the surrounding area, and had big dreds a few years ago...he was also good friends with the owner of Backyard.

Ring any bells with anyone?

Did he and Darren Glaggit have any connection?

Hmmmm all these questions and more will be answers when we go 'through the keyhole'...da da da daaaaa

they seem to be very underated imo. all the condors  that come up seem to go for cheap, unless its one of us numpty's, and when you show them to people you meet a lot of head scratching.

people appreciate them for being a "nice looking bike" but not, it seems, the ethos behind them, and if you know that, you will be willing to fork out your soul, if not, they are just a cheapish (in cost) outdated chrome frame from the nineties.

I want to touch ORB

Thanks Phil - that's what I was trying to say.  :)

Read Mat Hoffmans book 'Ride of my life' and you'll sell your house and pimp your wife to buy one.
