MORE OLD SCHOOL ACTION!
« on: February 13, 2007, 02:28 PM »
Well I'm afraid a few of you asked to see more pics from bitd, I've a fair few so here goes a selection of pivots!!

(you just don't see enough these days, ha ha!)

Think you can tell , I was kinda into Haro stuff in them days.

This is what happened to my white skyways after a week in green dye!

Living near a building site was very handy for ramp materials.

I'd stop at nothing for 20p in them days!

This is one of the last pics I ever took on the Master, it was painted orange & sold for £185 weeks later.

Love the Haro kit, especially that shirt! Hmmm I feel a replica coming on. :coolsmiley:

I keep that Haro shirt for years! Infact I might still have it somewhere. Still got the sliders.
There's a long story that I won't bore you with about the dyed wheels,
but my dad didn't really care, my mum however wasn't pleased with the bath (once again the building site was handy) that sat in her garden for a few weeks!

Here's a pic of me trying to aerial on a quality (ha ha) hand made quarter pipe!!

What I like about this pic is everyone stood about watching, its just so old school.

Check out my hair!!! Man wish I still had that much of the stuff.

If you find the Haro shirt I'd really appreciate some decent pics of it. ;)

Cheers

Glad you like the pics, I knew u'd appreciate the old Haro Bru?!

They really take me back these pics, particularly the last one I have below, I can still feel the twinge in me back even now!

I'll have a look for the old shirt, whats your plans for it, remember it was printed on a sort of aired materials (lots of small holes)

Man thats just not right, tell me were she lives I'll send the boys round!!!

I'm much the same though, can't find half the pic's I have.

And yes I'm trying to re-build my old master, probably have to be with an 85 frame though can't find an 84 (that I can afford!)
but I have a mate who still has his 85 survivor that I'm hoping he will eventually part with.

Same as, really would prefer an 84, can't see the point in the rear drop out bits. But on the plus side the built in cable ties are useful. Think BMXing dropped off big time towards middle of 85 guess that's why there's still a few 85 around and very few 84's.

My mates 85 is unusual in that it was one of the first in the country with the rear drop out stands, but it came with the same decals as my 84!! Not sure if this is common but I really would like to get my hands on it.

Thanks for the kind comments on pic's, much appreciated.

Any one who has a spare 84 master kicking about, please feel free to contact me ( and not Bru, ha ha!!)

Not an expert on the exact model master I'm afraid, all I can say is I got my first one for xmas83, this had the tapered thin rear stays, and broke within a week. So the one you can see in the pics I got in Jan 84.

Bitd I took me ages to decide on a new frame (the ol trm had bitten the dust) basically it was a master or a pro performer, I think the pics tell you my choice, but I always wanted a Performer and now I've got one (actually 3)

That shirt is exactly the same as mine, like a big baggy teabag!
