Here's a pic of me from bitd (blimey I was thin then!) Can you spot the frame?

Thanks for your nice comments, glad you like the pic & yeah the skip does add to the ambience!! We did try moving it (ha ha).
We were lucky enough to live near a building site, so materials for ramps were everywhere.

I knew someone would guess the frame......the good ol TRM freestyler. Odd looking beast it was but tough as nails.

Its an unusual frame design, pretty strong and light. I've not seen any for sale since I got back into the old school thing.

Would have no idea what one would be worth now, I know mine cost £115 in 1983.

What's going on with that frame! When you say thats what a trm should look like, you mean they changed there plans?!

nah it's a fox 4styler

similar kind of design to the trm but better geometry

remember the seat tube angle on the trm? i recall seeing people with reversed laybacks fitted
the fox had a quicker head angle too

the fox's platform wasn't liked by many though :D

Have to confess I never heard of the Fox 4 styler!! What year were they made?

Very similar design to the TRM, don't go a lot on all the holes, trm looked a bit nicer than that from memory, think I bought mine in late 82, early 83.

Even then I was near on 6' tall so a straight seat post was good for me, as was the shallow head tube, made for easier quarter pipe landings, compared to the Haro Master I moved on to next.

Was tough though the ol TRM, really did take a lot of abuse, all of my mates owned it at some point and it never broke!

the 4styler come out in 1985

i broke mine in 87. they cracked in the usual old school frame place

That explains why I've never seen one I stopped BMX in in 85, Got a job and they all took the piss at me turning up at work on a Haro Master!!

I've tried the same recently and got a similar reaction!!!! (FAT BLOKE, SMALL BIKE SYNDROME!)
