Don't know what it is but i don't think it's a Tioga or a Hawk Scorcher... nice though Lee.  :daumenhoch:

Yep, don't think it's a scorcher, the geometry of scorchers is like burners, and this is more like the tioga in that respect.

The chainstays are wrong for a tioga though  :-\

If theres a serial number on the rear left dropout it's probably an Akisu.

That's what I thought Ian.

Not an Akisu then, serial is on the BB  :-\  Just a long row of numbers beginning with 83, so guessing thats the year.

I'll get more details up later, the welds are nice though, and its a pretty light bike.

Ok, so some of the parts on this, all are original to the bike...

Front wheel is a Spencer rim laced to a Pellisier hub (rear is a crappy replacement)
Tioga stem
SR seat clamp
Meteor-lite calipers and levers
Cro-Mo OPC (unbranded as far as i can see)
Victor VP555 pedals
Not sure on forks until i break it down, they are oval tubed
CW bars? welds look ok, 28 inches wide
Serial is  831113247
All the frame tubes are round, not oval.
Will get some close ups of the welds tomorrow in the daylight.

I'm sure I've seen that gusset design before! In any case I'd ask monkian (Paul) as he knows his Tiogas!  :daumenhoch:

Looks too short to be a Rhino plus the tubing doesn't look right, I thought they had ovalised and indented tubing  ???

Not all of 'em had the indent on the tubes, but this is defo not a rhino, or a Tange made anything.

At best i would say its a copy of a rhino, and a well made one at that, still searching for info on it, but not come up with anything yet...

Just got a NOS Spencer front wheel, same colour as the Spencer thats on the front already.

The current front will be stripped and the rim built on to the rear hub.

Strip it down, clean, grease and ride it  :daumenhoch:

Oh, and bin them fookin tyres  :2gunsfiring_v1:
