preston or nottingham??
« on: January 26, 2007, 07:11 AM »
i have a dillema,i was going to break my racing virginaty at preston on the 11th feb,now i've found out the notts club race is the same day.

both are about 70 miles from where i live, both sound like easy tracks to race, both have members on rad who have had a bit of banter with.

i'll leave it upto the 2018 radbmx members to deside,so i don't feel guilty about letting one down.

cheers...priv

Come to preston Priv and bring Rich with you.

Unbelievably it might not be there for much longer :( Some local residents have kicked off about the noise from the PA at race meets and rumour has it that the council will shut us down if they get there way, miserable bar stewards  :tickedoff:

I wouldn't mind coming down to Preston and having a look. Not raced for about 22 years !!!  Just had a look at the Preston Pirates Website, looks good but it doesn't seem to say where the track is     :idiot2:

Haro, dont know if you know preston but the track is on London road on the land that used to be the disused running track.

PM me for directions if needed,

                  Phil.

Nottingham has the history and is one of the oldest tracks in the UK.
Its not too bad to ride, but the gate is terrible.
Be careful where you park your car as it could get broken into!

Preston is a new build.
Its not too bad to ride and the gate is one of the most modern ones you can use.

50/50 I suppose, but I did vote Preston mainly for the gate.

Come to nottingaham Adey,
The gate is pretty much fixed at the moment (fingers crossed)
you can park your car in next to the track when its club day
and none of us are very good so you wont feel like you have been hammered  :daumenhoch:

Come to notts, be a Bunny's Burner for the day, I am!!

Dont worry about the gate, if you've not been on one since 1852 it wount make an ounce of difference to you, doing two pedal start will be enough to cope with, never mind snapping.... It is cack though.

Anyway way I want to see if your as sexy in real life as you are in your avatar. :-* ;)
