wot year is this ripper ?
« on: January 23, 2007, 08:34 PM »
Hi Chaps looking through the bay as you do I came across this is not or I dont believe an old skool ripper as I thought the were all looptail

so what year is it ?  I was guessing it was 90s with the seat tube and the drops but hey perhaps I know nothing what really threw me was the forks ? LG were always as far as I can remember dropped at an angle at the end let me know  please and if you think this is worth current bids etc... just out of curiosity really ? saying that if it is worth it might put a bid in

Looks like Ukai 1 3/8 wheels, GT BARS Dyno 90s style stem ? nothing  else of interest of what I could see ?

Forks look like early 90s Powerlite. Odyssey triple traps, GT bars, Dyno stem, GT crank, GT spyder, Araya 7x 1.5s or 1 3/8ths on Suzie Hubs, GT seat.

I cant believe that one is fetching that amount when Greg's (Motomag) PK didnt even hit half that. Ebay is a wierd place.

The Ripper is fetching the money because it is being touted as 80s oldschool. Whereas our dear Motomag was honest ...still should have fetched more though  >:(
