Removing DX end caps
« on: January 21, 2007, 03:06 PM »
Anyone got any good idea/tips for removing Shimano DX end caps?

Tried long nose pliers in the 2 grooves but won't shift them. Only other option is to drill or break them out as I have some replacements but didnt want to damage the pedals or threads

if you have new ones just carefully break them by making a hole in centre then use a small screw driver to  lever out cap, :daumenhoch:

Small sharp screw driver and lever them up at the edge, just work your way round a little bit at a time. Normally the caps stay in tact
Why oh why do I still buy kids bikes!
