20 x 1.75   and   20 x 1 3/8  ?

i've often wondered this myself. so i assumed 1.75 was 1 3/4 inch, 1.5 was 1 1/2 inch and 1 3/8 is exactly that. please don't bend me over a log and make me squeel like a pig if i'm wrong........i assumed  :'(
