Haro Master 88 BB
« on: January 20, 2007, 01:41 PM »
Hi
Hope someone could help me
When I got the bike and stripped it down I found that the BB had no cups, is this correct? Are they integral within the frame'surely the bearing are'nt meant just sit in the frame, should have cups no? & what size would fit?
The Dyantron Odessey ones seem to be too big.
I've posted some pics of the BB to clarify.
Advice would be much appreciated - cheers

Skubs,

looks like there's been a sealed bearing BB in that shell at some time and someone's knocked out the bearings but left the cups in...

Reckon you need to beat out those cups and then the bare (single walled) shell you are left with is where your regular BB goes in.

Hope this makes sense,

Brian.

If they have been in there a while, I always soak them in WD40 or something like that for a few days before trying to knock them out  :daumenhoch:
