That track is where I started racing. I've only got a couple of pics of the Southport skatepark with me at the mo., where everyone went after the racing

There was a bmx shop near the station to with loads of mongooses and team murrays. i can only just remember the track lay out

I started racing at southport track 82/83 when the track had a wooden bridge ,rubber band start gate and the gearing for the track was 39x16.
They had nationals there 81/82 ive got some pics in a magazine i will see if i can find it

i got the consolation award in 1983 think it was because i used to get the train from Liverpool on my own every saturday to race
