pulled a gt out of a skip saturday, with a curved/bent top tube

think it's probably a POS, but the main tubes are 4130 and it's polished up nicely...

anyone any idea what it might be?

I'd say a bent toptube makes it at least late 90's

Gt PRO Performer, was at one point told it was Voelker Signature model, but have since had my doubts.
It is full cromo and rides real nice. Would recommend one to anyone.
Wach out tho, cos the lower end "performer" is just mainframe cromo, with caliper brakes up front.
Not sure of the year, late 90's I think.

that's mine then, the 'low end' one - caliper front brake and only 'main tubes' chromo....

Still not bad ride tho, not a great deal of difference. Don't be dissapointed, still fetch decent money for what they are.

I think the vertigo and preformer are the same fame and fork, just different components when sold.

Didnt the vertio have a bent downtube, not top tube?

Just did a bit of looking on tinternet, and i think Ad is right, the mid 90's Vertigo/performer had a bent down tube and an OS style rear end. The late 90's 2000's frames had the bent top tube.

Looking through though, i'm really liking the look of the early 00's ones

bet they weigh a tad though $:-\$

Mine is really light, much lighter than most "affordable" new schools, I think in the region of 25-30 lbs, may be wrong here, not too good on the metric system

I think you might have to spend in excess of £500 to get one as light as mine.
