They are an electronic transponder device, each one has individual coding, it makes everything easier at the finish line and does away with the need for number plates really :daumenhoch:

They were piolting those at the Paris worlds in 05 I think, only the real riders (jnr men/women, elite men/women) got them though. I'm pretty sure thats the first time I remember seeing them, but Geth or someone my put me right on that.

It should more or less do away with finish line officials from what I understand. I know they are going to use them in the Olymipcs which is one reason they've brought them in.

Some people do use speedos on their bikes. You never see Alan Hill without one, or a pair of clips for that matter..... ;)

number 10 is Donny Robinson, he's nearly as small as child so when you see him in the flesh he looks even stranger. The blokes fast as you like and has some serious skills though.

even after hearing all the rumours about the olympic committee getting dumped with racing when what they really wanted was a slice of  the more exiciting "x-gaymes" style extreme sports pie, park or dirt, i'm really looking forward to watching it in 2008!

go shazzy go! is what i'll be cheering!
