Identify these bars please
« on: January 04, 2007, 07:05 PM »
These bars are off a Peugot 401 I've just bought for £25 posted - the bike itself is in pretty good nick, will take a few parts and sell the rest I reckon - these bars are quite nice!

They're CW's but with a semi-circle bend, not angled or straight

and anyone recognise these pedals with a shamrock?

here's the complete bike

Aylesbury Bucks decal

MX seatclamp or fake?

The DC will be just to the side of the MX in one of the recesses.

That looks to me to be a completely stock Peugeot, so the bars will probably be the stock Peugeot ones (I think).

The bars are deffo stock Peugeot ones, someone posted an advert for Peugeot a while back that I'm pretty sure showed those bars on it.  The pedals are Victor, copy MKS Graphites, they should clean up pretty good and if no DC on the clamp then it's also a copy.  I reckon the whole bike should clean up well, it should be a Tange made frame with ARX or ARX copy forks, you'll be able to tell by the quality of the welds  :daumenhoch:

copies - and they're bronze/black - as are the brakes and the stem - I like the whole thing - it's got surface rust but it'll clean up a treat - may keep this as a rider - the wheels are proper thin 20 x 1 3/8 but I love the bars.
