ok the serial number is on the inside of the rear dropout, it sould start with a t, indicating a torker built bike, then two more letters, ie ss, then four numbers, then fso t qq 1118 f, would be a real gen 1 serial nothere will be a gap in the welding, approx 1 1/4 long on the downtube/headtube gusset, and if its a really old one then no weld on the under side of said gusset to the headtube.knurling on the rear drop outs.machined head tube, but not machined bb.if i think of anything else i will post it here....hope that helpsDave

j, ive yet to see one without knurling, but there are obviously variations of most frame sets....does this mean you have some evidence.....sounds interestingDave
