Just posted some piccys of my Pro Class onto the burner forum, and a couple of chaps have asked if the forks are bent. I dunno, over to you lot, the professionals.

Hi UV ,

They do seem to lay down a bit , check in the museum here for other examples or maybe members can post their Pro Class's to compare ? .

Have a look in the museum under Mongoose and compare them to those, but they do look like they have too much rake on them  :(

It was me questioning on the Burner forum.

I don't know for sure. It could be the angle of the pics, but the top pic does make them look a little off.

I'd always thought that too.  Though would never have said cos thought I was just wrong.  ;D

I was just used to these -

I think the fork sticker isn't helping matters in the way it's being perceived.

How about getting the protractor out ?  :D

I thought that about the fork sticker also , it kinda dominates  :daumenhoch: .

i'd say they were fine
they need a tad of rake on them to give the geometry some caster as they don't have a leading axle dropout on them  :daumenhoch:

Take the wheelbase measurement and compare it to review in the magazine Steve P posted up - should give you a good idea  :daumenhoch:

does the review give a scaled reading taking into account the slotted rear droputs?

i should go & check myself really, but its worth noting that before you condemn the forks  ;)

i still reckon they're fine :daumenhoch:

It gives the measurement from the centre of the BB to the rear axle and then gives the overall wheelbase so we should be able to calculate it easily enough  :daumenhoch:

I reckon it should be 21 1/4" but that is subject to 1 bottle of SA Pinotage  :D

Centre of front to begining of rear drop out is 36". Centre BB to centre front dropout is 21.5". I have now checked the forks for damage and nothing obvious, chrome is consistent.

Regarding the decal, it is not perfectly straight, its as I got it. Has anyone seen these decals on the forks before or should I get rid of them. Sorry for the questions but I only do burners normally and only did this as I fancied a change of scenery.

Sounds like they are spot on then  :daumenhoch:

Don't know about the decals though, GMAC might as he has a few nice gooses and a lovely 24" Pro Class cruiser  :daumenhoch:

Normaly if your forks are bent they go loose and tight as you spin them  :crazy2:
