Thanks for the response lads.

OBBIE, I didn't realise there are two types of moto 7's. Checked out the Bell site link and I prefer the Moto 7R, which you say is the better helmet. Not that much more expensive than the 7K (posted at the start of this thread).

MADALL, I lovin your old school moto 3 collection, they look mint.

Cheers

There is 4 type's of moto 7 , Moto 7 , Moto 7R , Moto 7JR and the one i don't like , the 7K ,,, All worth buying tho if you like ya face the way it is , in fact any full face would be better than any of these open face helmets everyone is wearing nowadays , idiots if you ask me , one day they will inevertable feel the true pain from a face slam ,  :uglystupid2:

Just before we all get into a Mrs. Madall-fest,  could I just stick my oar in for a moment and say please please try and get a fitting for any lid you're thinking of buying.....

So if we're all going moto7 crazy and insist on buying from ebay, get down to your local mx shop and try one on.  A badly fitting hemet will hurt you - guaranteed.

Remember, with the chinstrap UNDONE, you should not be able to rotate the lid on your head, nor should you be able to pull it straight up and off your noggin.  Look out also for excessive pressure on your forehead; this may not neccessarily be cured by a larger size - you may not have a 'bell' headshape, they dont fit everyone....  If this is the case, try an Arai lid (the best lids around in my opinion).

Whatever you do, unless you know your own headshape very well, don't buy a lid cold without a fitting; its a gamble......

Lecture over   ;)

As you were   ;D

Got one of those moto 7K's and they're the dogs.  Needed  a smaller bash hat as other 1 was a little too loose.  I must have the smallest head around.  So now have this Bell SCX spare, if anyones interested.

You're very welcome   :)   One of my 'things' is safety gear.....  One other thing I forgot to mention, be sure to buy the coolest lid you can find, as stupid as it might sound us vain fellows are much more likely to actually wear the lid we think we look the bollocks in....  ;)
