i like it..... think its a great idea and it looks a hell of a lot  better than the mongoose effort, and i'd rather spend £250 on that than one of the bottom end new school bikes that are available from other manufacturers and are all painted in drab dark colour schemes

repro pad's and accessories would be good though and i'd like to see one in the flesh before buying.

nice one raliegh and burner boys :daumenhoch:

I think it is a great idea, but really think that it should be made similar to how the retro SE Quad will be i.e. threadless 1 1/8" forks, aheadset, V-Brakes and new school geometry, but with the old school paint scheme, pads and stickers.

I thought Mongoose did a great job.....

Other than the wheels - what was wrong with it???

How cool is it that the Raleigh guys have asked the Burner Boys for help?!

Who better to ask than people who actually care about burners. I bet that kind of thing doesnt happen much.

If you insist...  ::)

I know your comments are placed in humour but give Raleigh a break... maybe after 25 years they have finally realised that the original Burners were crap and have decided to set the record straight...

I think you will be suprised by the quality of the build and even more suprised by the New Skool Frame they are building...  ;)

Its all good fun.

I really do hope they make a decent new school ride though, red white and blue should be the colours as well!  :Great_Britain: :Great_Britain:

 :LolLolLolLol: No...Beard and I have been working with Raleigh on this, we will have pre-orders for our members, and the rest are being distributed to the dealer network.

They are working really hard to get this spot on... Myself and DaveMac have had several meetings with Raleigh and the Head of Design (Simon) on this project and he is a really cool guy and very passionate about this project. He is also very receptive to the ideas and changes that we have suggested along the way.

No doubt there will be a few who won't like it, simply because it wears the Raleigh Badge and the has the stigma of being a Burner... But honestly the build quality is first class and they have (in my opinion) captured the real old school feel on bike built in 2007. The geometry is idendical to to the original and the tubing is full cromo, the only distinct difference is probably the drop outs that have had to strengthened to meet current Bicycle Build Regulations.

I hope it is well received by you guys on Rad that aint fan's of the Burner, maybe its taken 25 years for them to get it right...  ;)
