Single pinch flight crank bolts?
« on: December 13, 2006, 09:41 PM »
Did single pinch full wrap redline flight cranks always have the domed head allen bolt axle end bolts or did they ever come with hexagon bolts similar to Profile 2nd Gen?
And should there be small washers fitted on these bolts?

Dome type only I`m afraid, I bought a set of the chomed ones from Biagio and they look the bollocks, they are a bit hard to screw in for the first time though as the chrome makes them a little bit bigger, well they were very tight on a re-chromed set of flights, but they went in in the end  :daumenhoch:

Cheers Billy I thought that was the case

Some clown from the US has sent me hex bolts with a BB set

Do they also have washers with them?

I'm getting together the bits to make up complete new stainless hardware kits for 401 flights, will work out about £5 posted, all the correct washers, all that jazz. :)

Good show boys, I've got most of the bits now just to suss out what's what and I'll get bigger quantities in now I'm happy with what I've got. They come from all different suppliers, because they're the old american threads you can't just get them in screfix. Need to get the right washers and we're sorted. Harley Davidson suppliers are good for bits but avoid hardware shops. Went to get 4 stainless allen bolts the other day for a hutch stem and they wanted £36!

Yes its a complete set, have a look on this page : http://www.vert-ego.com/main.htm looks like they`re out of stock for the moment though  :(

The other thing I needed to do was cut down the bolt for holding on the chain wheel as it was too long  :daumenhoch:
