why do you want them slippy??

i use hairspary, sqiurt a bit into the grip and squeeze it together a few times untill it feels tacky, then pop 'em back on the bars,it might be a bit tight but get a rubber mallet,or a tea towel over your hand and bang 'em on

I use rubber solution out of a puncture repair kit. Never had throttle grip probs with it.

Slides on nicely with no effort, and they can still be taken off with good ol' spit afterwards.
