Clear back decals = hairdryer .

What about foil back decals ? . I'd like to try & save at least one if poss to be able to scan , can it be done or does the foil disintegrate (sp) ?.

Yup, it melts the adhesive and the foil will simply drop off without and damage. Once it's evaporated you have a perfect decal in your hands. Trust me

Not sure how you can adhere it back on again. We use 'Spray mount' but that if only for card

You can flood the edge and the decal will start to lift - then you can pour it under the now lifted corner and continue along - works every time. It won't damage the decal but will melt the adhesive.

DO NOT SMOKE WHILE ATEMPTING THIS!!!!

Lighter fluid should work perfectly, I use it to get video shop labels off old videos that I collect and it always takes the stickers off without damaging the sleeves at all, so should be fine :daumenhoch:
