i have to laugh. The way british are and act around sex and nudity. if you could see how open these things are across the continent and how parents expose thier children to THE FACTS of life(and they are not going to go away) as early and honestley as possible. I don't think the teenage pregnancy level will drop as long as sex is a toboe and therefore much more interesting than it need be for kids, just like drugs, alcahol and anything else deemed exclusive for adults.

Bmx is not for porn though, BUT, if responsible adults used the easy to set parental control that is on every version of internet explorer, then children would never be able to access anything with adult content(or violence,swearing etc..) without the password being entered. The first responsibility lies with the parent, and it's not difficult to control.

I kind of see rad as a local pub. We all come for the beer, but the banter can be anything and usually is. i hope that it doesn't change too much, the crack is good on rad, and we are more or less the only old school site full of sarcastic buggers.

Parental controls, school sites etc etc all have loopholes and images and topic which are meant to be screened against will still be able to be overcome. No matter how responsible parents of keen BMXers are if stuff is posted on site or links are put on they will be able to access the site.

With regard to sex being taboo and teenage pregnancy I believe this is an old school bmx site and not part of some govermnent intervention programme to educate our teenagers to the matters of life I dont believe not wanting my son to be able to view porn on rad makes me some kind of repressed victorian matriarch but just someone who would rather he didnt see those kind of images and instead learn about sex in a more balenced way through an education which doesnt denegrate women n such an obvious way.

At it is, I just accept that the site is as it is and represents what members want which is fair enough.

But as he attends many of the events and is so keen on old school bmx it seems a shame he is no longer able to come on site, but thats just how it is and he still really enjoys all the other aspects of rad. 

P.S. I really cant imagine Rad ever wanting to be Vintage or ever coming close and thats good enough for me

My mrs is the deputy head of a high school here and thinks this site is ok for our kids. My kids dont swear are nice and well mannered and are not shocked by the sight of a pair of boobs. Right my last word on the subject because like other members I am sick of arguments, back handed comments and sly digs that have been increasing on the site over the last few weeks so I am not joing in.

It was not about tit avatars, it was not about threads where posters had warned readers of specific adult content / images etc and it was nothing that yes you would expect to see on tv or bill boards.

It was about porn (images and links) which were posted up and moderators had to remove which is why some members may not have been aware of them.

My point was that was it really neccessary to post them in the first place? Also haven't moderators got enough to regulate on site?

I dont think that site owners and moderators removing direct links to porn makes rad vbmx, a totalitarian state, less of a site etc etc . It is still as good as it has always been.

Rad members dont need a seperate section to keep them snug as a bug and bread making already has one. It is called Random .
