Going OS racing in 2007 ??
« on: November 30, 2006, 12:28 PM »
If he will ship to the UK you could do a lot worse than this with the 20+ inch toptube (like a NS ride)  :daumenhoch: This complies to OS rules with the 1" headset & caliper brake .

The seat tubes are already drilled I think .

It's a 20.5 top tube, it says so in the auction in big red letters.

Quote
Hyper Metro Pro

20" Frame and Fork

Up for auction is a used Hyper Metro Pro. The frame and fork looks like it has it's share of scratches. No major dents or dings noticed. Looks like someone drilled the seat tube in order to run a brake cable to the lower brake mount. Beautiful welds on this frame and fork and USA made. Don't let this one pass you up.

NO RESERVE listing

20 1/2" Top Tube Length

Yeah  :LolLolLolLol:  (revised)

I knew it was long though , sold one to Bigplinky a while ago and it now resides at Generalee's I think .

Much easier to ride than a traditional OS ride on todays tracks  :daumenhoch:

i can beat that with my choice of haro race bikes. i have as ya probably know my 1989/90 group 1 with a 21.5 tt and my other 1989/90 group 1 with 22.5 tt.
os inch threaded head sets and caliper brakes. perfect for the 6ft rider.

Wolfy ,

you're missing my point . The Hyper is cheap , there are quite a few around (on 'bay etc) . How often do you see the ones you have become available for sale ? .

It's a purple Plinky eater

Very nice for the money and set up with a pitbull the braking is awesome (for OS). Personally couldn't get used it but I'm a really picky bugger when it comes to bikes, think the headangle was too steep for the wheel base (for me) but if you like Haro Group one steering this could be for you.
Why oh why do I still buy kids bikes!

Big top tubes are overrated. I am sawing down a couple of 80s frames to 16.5ins. Tight is right.

I am using a Hyper Metro at Braintree on Sun, couldnt
get on with Haro 19"tt and weird headtube angle. Its
chrome and looks brand new, its a lend and the guy
who owns it wont swap or sell.
