« on: November 30, 2006, 12:13 AM »
Hi all , what a great site, can anyone tell me what modle my redline is, i bought it about 15 years ago s/h and was told it had a racing frame and freestyle forks, been sat in shed for last 8 years at least, so not looking pretty!! The crank housing has an ovel stamp with redline in middle then RD03025 stamped under that, can anyone help?

Redline Serial Dates

81-RA
82-RB
83-RC
84-RD
85-RE

Sounds Like a RL20 or PL20 to me, but the only way to really tell is to see some photos and to tell us the measurement from the 'centre' of the seattube to the 'centre' of the headtube.

PS: welcome to Rad

It's funny that about 6 months ago there wasn't that many Redlines on here (only a handful in the museum). They seem to be coming out of the woodwork at the moment.

Which is both good and bad.

It can only be good Jim, I know it will push prices up but we need more survivors found, and more future radsters to join the fold :daumenhoch:

Tone, it's all good. The more saved the better. Just wish I could find one tucked away somewhere.

Or knew of the damn warehouse in Mexico were all the OS stuff is.   :D

my friend has this one:

last time i saw him a few months back he was really hyped to restore it, and we stripped it, and i spent 70 quid on the wheels, rebuilding them with new suzue hubs, spokes, freewheel. havent heard from him since. he owes me 70 quid too

i reckon he would part with the lot

the chrome is shot (redline style) but its not had much use. just spent some time in the garden :(
