Does the side wall have 'Shinko Rubber Co' embossed on it? The earliest GT tyres were made by them.

Is the GT 'leaning' forward (GT), or 'sat back'?

im not to fussed but didnt want to put them on a mid school street bike then
have the cops round   :police:  plus if they are not coming up that often damage them anymore
as they could go on a correct era ride.

They sound like late 80's-early 90's.

There was a Shinko one on ebay last week (purple) so you could compare to, but I can't find it now.

Like Moose says Dan, they are 90's, defo not Shinko...the 'GT' on the tread was different on Shinkos (not as nicely formed).

A great find though fella - don't see many 2.1's around now!
