Carrera cranks & tyres
« on: November 21, 2006, 08:10 PM »
I'm finally getting round to assembling my Redline Carrera, but I'm having trouble deciding on what cranks to use. Not sure whether to use 400's or 401's. I think the 401's were used on the bikes, but I prefer the look of the 400's cos they're a bit more bling. I know it's my bike and I can do what I want etc etc, but let's have some opinions.

Not sure if I'm gonna go with black or red tyres either. There is no other black on the bike, but plenty of red (maybe too much with tyres ??)

The bike is just chrome and red, with the white/red vinyl pads.

Your thoughts please gents & gentesses  :)

401's for Carrera and 400's for the Carrera II, that I'm taking an age to build.

You could always put a sugino spider on with the 401's if you have one of the adapters.

Depends on the year, but 400 are the poor relation to 401 flights...

Don't do a thing with it as it won't look right.  I'll be round in the morning to take it off your hands  :LolLolLolLol:

I'd go for the 401's, classic look with mucho bling  :daumenhoch:
