Diamondback sticker help por favor.
« on: September 15, 2005, 08:18 PM »
My friend gave me his old DB Viper. I want to fix it up to look like new.

It has these stickers on it. Are they still available? Also why are the fork stickers totally different (red ones), is it a euro version or something?

Thanks for reply.

I'm assuming mines a Viper anyway. Some pictures should be attached (Just signed up to photobucket  :) )

The serial number is F3080467. Any ideas if this is a Viper?

As for the foil stickers, I reckon these would be hard to replicate.

Nice one scary. Will keep checking.

Another question. The seat post downtube has snapped off. Have still got it. Is it possible to re-weld it back on or does the whole tube need to be replaced?

It was reading your PK post that made me think that I might need to get the whole thing replaced. Can really do without getting the whole thing replaced really. Does it cost alot?

well it helps if you got a mate who builds cars for a living
he only charged me 25 quid to
weld in the seat pole and redo the dropouts

I remember now, you had an exact replacement didn't you. Very much doubt I would be able to get one of those. Would need to make my own I would imagine.

Being the fat bastard that I am, how would I prevent this from happening again? I read somewhere on another forum that someone inserted a wooden dowel in the seat tube that would reach to the bottom bracket and therefore give a bit more extra strength. Good idea/bad idea?
